LED controller (sending card / processor)
The device that feeds video to the wall, port by port.
The controller — sending card, sender, or video processor — converts a video input (HDMI, DP, SDI) into the proprietary network stream receiving cards understand, distributed over gigabit Ethernet ports.
Two numbers size a controller: total pixel capacity and pixels per output port (about 650,000 px per gigabit port at 60 Hz, 8-bit). A wall needs enough ports that every daisy-chain of cabinets stays under the per-port limit — the calculation wikiLED's data wiring view automates.
