Privacy policy
How wikiLED handles personal data, written to be read rather than skimmed past.

Who is responsible
SIGNTOO Group, based in Netherlands, is the controller for the data described here. For anything in this policy, including requests to see or delete your data, email hello@wikiled.app.
Using the calculator without an account
The calculator, the panel database and every sub-calculator work with no account and no sign-up. When you use them anonymously, the wall you are designing is stored only in your own browser, so that refreshing the page or signing up later does not lose your work. We never receive it. Three keys are used:
wikiled:anon-calculator— the wall you are currently designing.wikiled:pending-claim— the wall handed over to your account if you choose to sign up, cleared immediately afterwards.wikiled:nudge-dismissed— remembers that you dismissed the prompt to save.
These are functional storage, not tracking, and are required for the feature you asked for. Clearing your browser data removes them.
If you create an account
We store:
- Your email address and password. The password is hashed by our authentication provider; we never see it.
- Your profile — name, and optionally company, country and phone number, if you provide them.
- Your projects and saved configurations — including any project name, description, location, client name and notes you type in.
- Your custom panels and shortlisted products.
The legal basis is performance of a contract: we cannot provide an account without storing the account.
Details you enter about other people
A project can carry a client name and a site location. If you enter someone else's details, you remain responsible for having a basis to do so, and for telling them if that is required. Please do not put anything sensitive in free-text fields. We do not use this information for anything other than showing it back to you.
Analytics
We count page views and a small number of events (a calculator interaction, a save, a sign-up, a saved project) so we can see which parts of the tool get used. By default an analytics identifier is stored in your browser, which lets us see usage across visits. You can decline it: the identifier is removed and nothing further is stored on your device. Visits are then still counted, using a temporary visitor number our analytics provider derives from your IP address and browser type with a secret value that is replaced daily, so visits on different days cannot be linked. We do not record your screen, do not capture what you click on, and do not build advertising profiles. You can change your mind at any time from the cookie policy.
Who else processes your data
| Provider | Purpose | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication and file storage | EU (Frankfurt, eu-central-1) |
| Vercel | Website hosting and delivery | EU region configured; company is US-based |
| Resend | Transactional email (sign-up confirmation, password reset) | EU/US |
| PostHog | Product analytics — only after you accept analytics cookies | EU (eu.i.posthog.com) |
Fonts are served from our own servers, so using the site does not contact a font provider. We embed no advertising, chat widgets or social media trackers.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account, which you can do yourself at any time from the account page — it erases your profile and every project, configuration, favourite and custom panel immediately and irreversibly. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting and database providers for security and debugging.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how it is used, and ask for it in a portable format. Deletion is built into the product; for anything else email hello@wikiled.app and we will respond within one month. If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell account holders by email.
