Receiving card

The controller board inside each cabinet that turns network data into LED drive signals.

Every cabinet contains a receiving card — a small board (NovaStar, Colorlight, Brompton and others) that takes the data stream from the controller, extracts its cabinet's slice of the image, and drives the LED modules.

The receiving card defines which control ecosystem a wall belongs to: cabinets with NovaStar cards need a NovaStar sender, Brompton-fitted cabinets a Brompton processor. Mixing ecosystems in one wall is not possible without re-carding.
