Serpentine wiring
The snake-shaped cabling pattern that keeps daisy-chain hops short.
Serpentine (snake) wiring routes a chain through the grid in alternating directions — left-to-right along one row, right-to-left along the next — so every hop is between physically adjacent cabinets and no long return cables are needed.
The alternative 'line' pattern runs every row in the same direction, which costs one long cable per row but can be easier to fault-trace. Both are standard; the choice is workflow, not correctness.
