LED module

The smaller LED board several of which make up one cabinet.

A module is the basic LED circuit board: LEDs, driver ICs and a plastic or magnetic mounting frame. A cabinet typically holds 2–8 modules; on site, single modules can be swapped to repair dead pixels without replacing the cabinet.

Datasheets occasionally quote module resolution where you expect cabinet resolution — a classic source of import errors (and one wikiLED's physics check catches: pitch × resolution must reproduce the cabinet dimensions).
