Cabinet (LED panel)

The building block of an LED wall: a self-contained frame holding LED modules, power and data electronics.

A cabinet — also called a panel or tile — is the unit LED walls are assembled from: a rigid frame carrying several LED modules, a power supply, and a receiving card. Cabinets latch to each other mechanically and daisy-chain power and data.

Typical sizes are 500×500 mm and 500×1000 mm for rental products, and 600×337.5 mm-class formats for fixed installation (chosen so 16:9 walls come out even). Every wall calculation — size, resolution, power, weight, wiring — is really cabinet arithmetic, which is why calculators resolve everything to a cabinet grid first.
