Contrast ratio

Brightest white vs deepest black, e.g. 5,000:1 — heavily dependent on the LED package's blackness.

Contrast ratio compares full white to full black output. Because an off LED is genuinely dark, LED walls post big numbers — thousands to one — but the practical differences come from the panel face: black-package SMD and resin-coated COB reject ambient light far better than glossy older packages.

Treat qualified figures ('23,000:1 @ 10 lux') as lab values; in a lit room, the panel surface and calibration matter more than the headline ratio.
